Day 1: Arrive in Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort

Day 2: Half-Day Arctic Adventure: Husky Safari & Aurora Hunting by Horse Sleigh

There are two big Husky farms right next door to Kakslauttanen. It won't take you long to get a feel for steering huskies, and before you know it, you will be sledding through the wilderness drawn by these eager and friendly dogs. No gas fumes, no rumbling engines - just you and the call of the wild.

The guide will pick guests up from Kakslauttanen and provide thermal outfits at the husky farm. Then it is time to meet the friendly dogs who are eagerly waiting in front of the sledges. Husky dogs love running and can't wait to get going!

The guide will provide instructions on how to stop, turn and drive the husky sledge pulled by several dogs. The sled is for two people unless you wish to have your sled only for yourself (for an extra cost). One person is seated in the sleigh, the other is standing and driving in the back, you can swap drivers halfway. You will enjoy riding in the wintery forest as much as the dogs! After arriving at the farm and thanking your dogs for the adventure together it’s time for a hot drink and some husky stories. Duration of the program: 2 hrs. (from pick-up to return), ride time approx. 1 hour.Seeing the northern lights casting their magical glow across the Arctic sky is always an impressive sight, but what makes it truly unforgettable is a special trip to chase this natural phenomenon. Imagine a nocturnal adventure in the wilderness, riding a sleigh drawn by a horse.

Guests are provided with thermal clothing at the horse stables. Two strong and noble Finnhorses pull a wooden sleigh into the magical and peaceful wintery forest. In the middle of the ride, we will stop to observe if the Northern Lights will show themselves. During the break, guests can enjoy hot juice and learn about the culture and nature of Lapland. Duration of the program: 1.5 hrs (from pick-up to return), ride time about 45 minutes.

Day 3: Half-Day Snowmobile Safari & Santa Visit in the Magical Lapland

A thrilling ride in the arctic forest. The best way to see the fell landscape is by taking off with a snowmobile. The guests are picked up at Kakslauttanen, taken to the activity location and provided with thermal outfits and instructions. The snowmobile is for two people where one is driving and the other sits in the back, you can swap drivers halfway. There is also an option to have a snowmobile all for yourself. You head into the wilderness with a bit of adrenaline and get immersed into the arctic nature.Guests will meet Santa Clause himself - a moment to remember for the children but also, for the grown-ups. Selfies (Elfies) are a must! After getting to know Santa guests head to the impressively decorated Celebration House where they enjoy a hot drink. Along the way you might see some reindeers as well.

Day 4: Half-Day Ice Karting & Aurora Hunting by Car

Exciting adventure in the wintery forest with an ice karting circuit of 570 meters (625 yards) long, located within 10km (6.25 miles) from our resort. The 10-meter (11 yards) level difference track provides you the best experience for an advance driver or beginners. The circuit is energized by LED lighting and with professional timing systems which make the driving more interesting. The unique design of the karts make them handle safely on ice. During the race you can visit the log house next to the fireplace to warm up yourself. Ice karting assurer’s the unforgettable memories in your life.Ready to chase the Northern lights? Welcome to join our skilled and passionate guides for a night under the Lapland sky. We don’t just drive to a set place were we wait if the Aurora will show up but actively using various channels to find a place with the biggest chance to see the magical phenomenon. Day 5: Half-Day Nordic Escape with Cross-Country Skiing & Smoke Sauna

The traditional way of getting around in Lapland! Nordic skiing - also called cross - country skiing - is a national sport in Finland. It is suitable for everybody and extremely good for the body and mind, with beautiful winter scenery serving as an inspiring backdrop. There are 200 km (125 miles) of tracks starting in front of Kakslauttanen – thus no traveling needed to try this wonderful sport. Your teacher will provide you with the gear and profound instructions.For centuries, sauna has been an integral part of Finnish culture. Even today you can still find out the traditional sauna at Kakslauttanen where we have the sauna is heated for hours for optimal experience. Step in, smell the wood and feel the comfortable warmth and moist on your skin. Sit down back close your eyes and allow your mind and body to rest. To complete the experience, we recommend trying the ice pool next to the sauna, rolling in the snow or taking a cold shower. Also, you might want to return to the warmth of the sauna afterwards.

Day 6: Private Transfer to Utsjoki Arctic Resort & Visit to a Local Sami Family

Day 7: Half-Day Arctic Sea Adventure & King Crab Fishing Experience

The king crab is a Northern delicacy, unique in flavour and appearance. These giants are harvested from the Arctic Ocean in Norway, and this is your opportunity to catch your dinner! There is no need to fear the cold either, as we will have you dressed for the weather.
